mabuhay in manila

hey y'all... yeah.. im in the philippines right now... donno wat the meaning of mabuhay.. i think its called foreigners... and pinoy i think is for locals...

ok wat am i doin in manila?? well da company sends me here for the manila project that will be go live on 2nd May. so i'm here for the on-site support lor.. i arrived in manila on the 28th.. dat was a tiring day.. i woke up at 5am, get ready for stuffs and ate a bit. reached kl sentral by 7am, n thank god it was a good timing, i boarded the ERL and 5 mins later it departed to KLIA...

once arrived there, surprisingly a lot of people already there... its like a peak season for air travel.. every local and foreigners are travelling to sumplace. the company send me together with another colleague, eva which is from basis team... her whole family including her cousin n uncle also sends her as well.. it was her first trip outside malaysia, and her dad told me dat i have to look afer his daughter... adoi... hehe have to be responsible lor... anyway, dat morning her dad belanja all of us for breakfast.. hehe nice way to entrusted me to take care of his daughter...

anyway, our flight were delayed half an hour.. maybe becoz of the weather.. so dats y we got ample time to have breakfast at mcD. hehe.. after had da breakfast eva said goodbye to her family, so my responsibility kicks in..ehee.. first task, show her how to pass the passport.. hehe.. she managed to pass it without any hiccups.. mine was the problem,the machine didnt read my fingerprints dat well.. then have to teach her how to go to which gate.. she was excited all the way until now.. haha..

anyway the flight quite ok la... da food i got was nasi lemak... ok lor... we touched down in manila (aquino airport). kinda dodgy at da airport.. when we came out of da airport, suddenly we were stopped by some people who requests everyone to gave the bag tags to them...donno for wat, but everyone have to give it.. then, panic start kicks in.. the technopark hotel personnel shud pick us up.. damned... da guy not there, we moved around n looking all the papers that people holding, still none.. then we have to go out of the place, becoz the waiting area is downstairs..
so once downstairs, people have to line up according to family surname!! watda?? so we were like, aiyoh where to stand?? luckily got this paging centre, so we paged for the hotel rep. luckily he looked for us at the paging booth, next, we were taken to the hotel.

the journey was a new experience for both of us, the traffic was very bad.. normally it takes 45 mins max to go to the hotel from the airport, our journey was twice da time. da drivers of manila are all kl minibusses drivers... all cilok there cilok here, 5cm near collisions summore..aiyoh...quite frightening...

we were lucky of no need to go to the office dat day.. so just vpn from room... not much work dat day, so we rested and had dinner in the hotel... quite ok lor... next post will be the first day in the office.hehe...

darn!! its been a while since i updatred the page here...hmmm tooo bz with work and didnt had time to post my ramblings on the net.. okiess here goes ze updates...
2 weeks back my bro brought the whole family for a treat, hehe...didnt had da time to drove the car from home to melaka to genting to teluk intan to penang n back to home in jsut one day.. so he took us for lunch @ a nice malay restaurant. it was my first time having a buffet malay style 100%.no westerns or other eastern flavours folks!totally awesome!and the food is delicious too!!the name of the place is "Restoran Puteri". its right after the penchala link tunnel. its on your left.. u cant miss it.. i recommend it to anyone who likes to eat malay dishes. go try it folks!!its lovely!!

ok enuf of dat, im drooling now...hungry laa.... haha.. move on to the week after that. us siblings went to our cousin wedding in s.alam, we had to represent our parents as they have to babysit our nieces. coz my bro in law have to go to france, to renew his flying license. well nothing much to say bout da wedding, but totally bored during the "saya suka dia, dia comel"...man, this lovey dovey kinda makes me dizzy... haha...

ok this juz happened to me this morning. on my way to work, just after the underpass of the bulatan edinburgh, this black saga with no plate WNJ1310 suddenly swerved in front of me, damn!! so using normal reflexes, i horned him. out of a sudden, this crazy jackass shows his middle finger to me!bastard! then, he swerved back to the next lane beside me, putting his tattoed arm out of da window and staring at me. damned!this is not good... if he didnt have the tattoos, surely i b easily obliged for a dumb race. but since he got da tattoos and driving like a numbskull, man...this guy is indeed just driving to have trouble. so i just put up a face, and just geleng my head.. the bastard made stayed in the lane beside me for a few more seconds before jumping into behind my car..
can't get him knock me down, it will be a bloodbath if i pullover, so i just maintain the speed. luckily for me, the guy got bored, he swerved next to me again, throwing glaring glances and then swerved back in front of me.. then he sped away..
so guys, its kinda ok if u didnt put up a fight with a bastard like this. unless u got a whole team inside your car.hehe... anyway, just watchout for the black saga. this chinese tattoo freak is really a blardey bastard!!

tanjungboys day out!!

tanjungboys... a group of boys of ex: stj, uniten, mmu & utp who hangs out in tanjung @ subang.

last saturday, the tanjungboys (im the new addition, eventho i never lepak-ed in tanjung before) had a roadtrip to Bagan Lalang (which is further up from Sepang) just to have seafood dinner. HEHEHE...
so after zohor, i went to ss2 to pick up Topek in my red ferrari coupe..hehe... then he told me, change of plans. need to pick up PokDi as well, at Bt Jelutong..ler... my car only suitable for 2 people. if 3, it will be pretty sempit la bro.. well nevermind. thank god Topek is slim.. so after picked up PokDi at his house, we met the other tanjungs at the tanjung. Jali the ever belly-cracking jokester and FA the monotonous jokester awaits us there. shaheeran can't have the time, coz his mom just arrived from German. so we proceed to Farouk's house in subang, left our cars there and got into 2 cars, PokDi & jali rode with Farouk. Topek & I rode with FA.
We proceed to meetup the others in cyberjaya. we arrived there around 430, which is late. we told them to meet by 4pm..hehe... so the 6 of us plus another 5 carry on our adventures to B.Lalang..
We arrived there around 6plus, another tanjungboy already awaits us there. So once there, we chosed the food and the kakak there told us that the food will be ready at 7pm.
As we haven't yet had our asar prayers, we went to the surau behind the stall. we 'tawaf' the surau, as the pipes there doesnt have any water. we waited in front of a toilet, which a makcik with a frightened look, closes the door in front of us. we are not rapist laaa... then suddenly an old man voice clearly shouting at us:
Pakcik kedai: nak solat ker??
us: haah..
pakcik kedai: pakcik tutup paip surau tu. taknak bagi org mandi2.
us: ooooo....
pakcik kedai: gi bukak paip cock tu. ada bawah zink biru
us: zink biru???
( i saw a blue tong with a zink on top..hmm...maybe the pipe is actually from a tong..move towards it)
pakcik kedai: ko gi mana tu?? ikot tgn pakcik nie..
( yah, its pointing to da blue tong)
pakcik kedai: tengok tangan pakcik ni!!ikot tangan pakcik ni!! cork tu atas tanah!!!
us: ooo... cepat2 carik2
me : dah jumpa dah pakcik!
pakcik kedai: pusing la!!
me: dahh..
pakcik kedai: gi la tengok air tu keluar ke tak!!
us: cepat la... gi bukak paip surau tu... ok tak... ok pakcik tengkiu...

adoi.... during dat moment, we felt a little bit foolish on looking for the pipe...haha.. so after the prayers, we sat down at the table. then, mel's husband went to take out the RC heli he brought along, in an instant, farouk became her son. playing the heli like a kid until the battery ran dry, at her hubby just watched and pickups the heli eachtime it fell.. duh.... kitorang pun naik la farouk!! hehe
so after that, we move on to the beach.. lama lagi ker 7pm nie... PokDi was the cameraman of the day with his d70s.. wooo.... bestnya nak main gambo2...
mel's hubby, once again, brough another toy. a kite!!.. almost everyone showed their Mukhsin's skill of flying da kite. but to no avail, there are no wind to keep it afloat.. then, one of da tanjungbboys spoke :
"ko nampak tak asap tu?? aa main la depan asap tu, baru layang2 tu naik"
wadda? ceh... dis is a kite la...not a hot air balloon...
after all da mukhsin skills seems fruitless. all of us just have photoshooting spree... sorry, PokDi's havent post the pics on the fotopages yet.. will update once got the pics.
finally, 7pm. everyone rushed to the stall. the tables ready, drinks ready. wheres the food?? 10 mins later the food came. everyone took their servings politely..hehe... then, rain started dripping down..owhh....man.... the stall which got the covers are full...alhamdulillah, pakcik kedai came to the rescue : "korang angkat jer meja korang yg panjang tu, bawak masuk"
yeay, finally can get eating without gettin wet, but a bit crowded la.. no more polite2 la... everyone were eating faster and hands moves more faster to get the foods..pokdi recalled to us after we went back "masa tgh makan tu, aku nampak la ikan steam tu, takpela, jap lagi amik.. tha next time aku angkat kepala aku, ikan tu dah habis, tinggal kepala jer..sup pun kering..."

by 815. all was cleared. for 12 people, we are still hungry. 3 dishes of fish, 3 bowls of rice, 2 dish of sotong goreng, 2 dish of udang sambal, 2 dish of patah. kenyang, but not full enough. maybe coz 10 guys and 2 gurls, or maybe becoz of the rain. or maybe becoz of the people under umbrellas waiting their turn that suggests us not to have another serving. so, we paid 250 to the boss. had our prayers and all decided its time to go. well then, that just leaves us guys again with nothing to do. so, we came up of lepak-ing at tanjung for a moment then.
so me, topek n fa went back to farouk's place to get my car and then headed to tanjung. now im officially a tanjungboy.haha... so we lepak-ed there for a while. chatting about the food and the place. definitely gonna go a different stall next time and bring clothes and balls to play at the soft white sands..hehe... and also, planning for the upcoming weddings we gotta go.. another road trip bebeh.....definitely going to shamud's in seremban, ekmals, not so sure, napie's also not so sure...
anyway, it was a great roadtrip.. a good time spent to ease off your mind of work.. to topek & jali. welcome to the working world!!haha... enjoy it!!hheehe..

KL-gopeng-KL

Last Sunday, I drove my parents to a cousin's (duapupu in malay) wedding in gopeng. the reception was ok. Met some relatives which has been ages since i last saw them and also some relatives I never knew that are related to. As usual, after the receptions, small talk among the relatives will be happening and then, the conversations lead to me and my parents along with my close cousins hanging out at the house of my mom's cousin.
We pushed off home just before 5, as usual.... whenever we go up north, we must stop at Tapah's RnR to buy some fruits. Luckily i insist that after the shopping, we just move on. No rest stops there. So we pushed off from there arpun 530..
To our surprise, heavy traffic awaits us jsut after the Tapah RnR... all the way back to KL. DAMN!!!
A 1 1/2 hours of travelling time was quadrupled.. We even have to stop at the Sg Buloh RnR, coz its already 9pm, and all of us are tired and hungry. In the end we arrived back home at 11pm..
Along the way, my mom forgot to tell us that the traffic happens because the chinese were celebrating 'all souls day' on that day. So the traffic was a balik kampong traffic... adoi.....my knee still hurts till today becoz of da traffic.

biggest april fool

2nd april was the biggest april fool joke for the motorists of tun razak-sg besi. previously some menteri said in the papers that the smart tunnel will open on 1st april.. to everyone's dimsay, on the morning of 2nd april.. heavy gridlocked happened. which is something unusual for us motorists of tun razak-sgbesi...

the supposed date was just a lie.. the tunnel is not finished yet. then on the afternoon of the same date, the news about the tunnel pops up, just completed drilling for the floodwarter tunnels.. ceh..... then, in todays paper. the roadworks menteri told that, actually the tunnel is scheduled to open by 9th april. (yeah right, whatever...) but, due to some circumstances, it will be postponed another 2-3 weeks (hmm... am i hearing a postpone??a postpone which doesnt know when will it finish??hmm....)

so, what i think is that. there somethings that haven't finished yet.so expect the tunnel to be open in a few more months... coz the roadsigns says it will open early 2007..yeah, october still an early month of 2007 too...
